ROBERTSDALE, Alabama — Rita Turner’s fifth grade class planned and prepared the event including all the elementary classes in the celebration. Veterans were invited to attend and were honored with a patriotic program of songs by the students. Over 25 veterans honored Central Christian by attending the event. Refreshments and a time to meet other veterans took place after the celebration. Turner's class hosts this event each year to honor those who have served our country.
