Charles E. Nelson, III, age 74, a native and resident of Fairhope, passed away Friday Aug. 10, 2012.
He received his BS Degree from Auburn University and his Masters Degree from the University of South Alabama. He was an active member of Liberty Church in Fairhope and enjoyed running, hunting,and fishing. Mr. Nelson is survived by his wife of 50 years, Glenda Nelson of Fairhope; son, C. Glenn Nelson (Shayne) of Cumming, Ga.; daughter, Valerie Manning (Rob) of Helena, Ala.; four grandchildren; Alexa and Prescot Nelson, both of Cumming, Ga., Michael and Kate Manning, both of Helena, Ala. Brother, Malcolm Nelson (Cheryl) of Daphne, niece, Kimberly N. Ralph of Daphne, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Aug. 13, 2012 at 3 p.m. at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens of Fairhope. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to Parkinson Association of Alabama at P.O.
