"font-family:">Charles Eldridge “Charlie” Schreiner Jr., 78, born Dec. 11, 1932 in Mobile, passed away Dec. 9, 2011 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
"font-family:">He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marie Manning Schreiner of Fairhope; his children, Shannon Rutledge (Tom) of Virginia, Alan Schreiner (Sheila) of Fairhope, Charlotte McKee (Tarrol) of Mobile and Amy Everson (David) of Hoover; and his grandchildren, Zachary McKee of Mobile and William Everson of Hoover.
"font-family:">Charlie was a proud veteran of the Korean War, a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid golfer and Alabama football fan, who greatly valued his family, friends and country.
"font-family:">Special thanks to the wonderful staff who cared for him at Robertsdale Healthcare Center and also to Covenant Hospice.
