Charles Hudson Moore, 75, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010 in Fairhope.
He was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church. He was a native of Mobile and a graduate of McGill Institute and the University of South Alabama. He taught in the Mobile County School System for a time and retired as a Sergeant of Campus Police at the University of South Alabama. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating on the Bay. He was a Army Reserve veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn O’Connor Moore of Daphne; two sons: Charles H. Moore III of Daphne and Brian D. Moore of Mobile; daughter: Allison (Ralph) Gatrone of Alexandria, Va.; two brothers: Walter Moore of Daphne and William Moore of Mobile; sister: Beverly Cortright of Spanish Fort; two grandchildren, Gregory S. Moore and Janice Moore, both of Daphne.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne. A Rosary service will begin at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 3 at Christ The King Catholic Church in Daphne. Interment will follow at Belforest Catholic Cemetery.
