Charlotte Ruth Grantham, 73, passed away peacefully at her home. She was a longtime resident of Foley.
She was the daughter of the late Albert Henry NeSmith and Ruth Clark NeSmith of Ocala, Fla.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, David Stump; her three children, Jimmy Grantham of Gulf Shores (Norma), Darlene Smrke of Tulsa, Okla. and Donald Grantham of Foley (Beth Taylor); five stepchildren, Allan Stump (Sharon), Brian Stump (Teresa), Carl Stump (Sue), Kevin Stump and Tammy Johnson (Kyle), all from Ocala, Fla. and Dean Stump (Freida) of Whiteville, N.C.; five brothers, Raleigh Nesmith, W.A. Nesmith (Janice), Jerry Nesmith (Sharon), Ronnie Nesmith and Jim Nesmith (Lou); two sisters, Connie Arthur (Jerry) and Pam Bland; seven grandchildren, Theresa Scoville (Shane), Nick Grantham (Shannon), Douglas Grantham (Bambi), Rebecca Smrke, Stanley Smrke, Morgan Grantham and Sarah Grantham; and seven great-grandchildren.
She had a large, loving family and many sweet and caring friends.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff at South Baldwin Hospital and Covenant Hospice for their expert care, kind hearts and compassion during her illness. Thank you to Dr. Russell Proctor for giving her the best of care and adding extra years to her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the South Baldwin Education Foundation under the Louise Grantham Scholarship Fund.
