The all-volunteer staff at the Christian Service Center of Gulf Shores is working hard to restock their medical equipment loaner closet.
By offering free loaner medical equipment to residents, recipients benefit from easy access to no-cost items, continuation of their independent lifestyle and experience fewer accidents.
Currently, medical supplies at the Christian Service Center are running dangerously low, and the CSC needs help. Is there a pair of crutches or a wheelchair in your home that is no longer being used? Perhaps you know of a cane, a shower chair or a potty chair that could be placed back into service to help a neighbor in need.
All types and sizes of medical equipment, including canes, crutches, shower chairs and wheelchairs, are needed. Regular and oversized wheelchairs are in critical short supply.
If you need to borrow medical equipment from the CSC Loaner Closet, it is easy as checking a book out of the library.
Donated equipment is tax deductible and can be dropped off at the Christian Service Center office located at 317 Dolphin Ave. in Gulf Shores on Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until noon. The Christian Service Center is deeply grateful to this community for its loyal support of its mission to help local residents since opening their doors in 1991. For questions, call the CSC office at 251-968-5256.
