Two festive holiday celebrations are scheduled for the first weekend in December as the City of Foley presents the 30th annual Christmas in the Park event on Friday, Dec. 2, at 6 p.m. in Foley’s Heritage Park, followed by snow flurries at the 13th annual Let It Snow on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 11 a.m. in Heritage Park. Both events are free to the public as the City of Foley welcomes the Christmas season.
Christmas in the Park is an evening filled with carols, the lighting of the official city tree, and a visit from Santa. Foley Elementary School students will present selections of favorite holiday music. The miniature Christmas Village will come to life, the winners of the Christmas tree decorating contest will be announced and all of the trees entered will be on display in the park. The Foley Caboose Club will provide free train rides on the Charles Ebert, Jr. event train. This celebration begins at 6 p.m. on Dec. 2.
The 13th annual Let it Snow event begins in Heritage Park following the Foley Christmas parade at 11 a.m. on Dec. 3. Come and enjoy a winter wonderland filled with snow created by a snow machine to delight holiday visitors. Also enjoy continuous holiday entertainment, food, beverages, inflatables, a children’s village and free train rides on the Charles Ebert, Jr. event train.
