Community Development Board
- Planning commission made eight initial zoning recommendations,
- Approved one subdivision,
- And approved three public projects.
The board of adjustments and appeals approved four uses permitted on appeal,
- And approved one variance.
The planning and zoning division performed four plan reviews,
-Approved 40 permits,
-Approved one exempt permit,
- And handled one zoning complaint.
-The environmental code enforcement division handled enivornmental complaints,
- Performed four environmental inspections,
- And terminated one ADEM construction permit
- The building inspections division issued 3 single-family residential permits,
-Issued 15 residential miscellaneous permits,
- Issued two commercial addition and remodel permits,
- Issued two Tanger remodel permits,
-Issued two commercial miscellaneous permits,
-Issued 10 sign permits and
- Issued 37 electrical, mechanical and plumbing permits.
-Seven new tenants moved into existing buildings,
-One new tenant moved into Tanger and
-57 building inspections were performed.
Fire Department
-102 incidents responded to
-More than 30 percent were motor vehicle accidents.
- Three building fires responded to, one of which involved a fire fatality.
-11 were trained in CPR
-Four were trained in first aid
-Held a fire prevention coloring contest at Foley Elementary School with all students participating.
All students at Foley Intermediate also participated in a fire prevention essay contest.
Police Department
159 on view misdemeanor arrests made,
23 on view felony arrests made,
25 DUI arrests made,
597 tickets issued,
437 close patrols made,
359 warnings issued,
128 motorists assisted,
69 wrecks worked,
105 alarms answered,
183 positive citizen contacts made,
191 official business visits made,
1012 calls dispatched
14 misdemeanor marijuana arrests made,
13 controlled substance arrests made,
9 drug paraphernalia arrests made,
The investigations division received 78 new cases,
34 cases were solved.
16 domestic violence follow-ups were completed.
316 arrestees were processed
