FOLEY, Ala. — The Foley Performing Arts Association will soon have a new home.
During Monday’s City Council meeting, city leaders discussed the logistics of moving the association’s home from its current home at 116 W. Laurel Ave. to the city-owned Claude Peteet Real Estate Building on North McKenzie Street.
The new location is situated next to the Foley Coffee Shop and across the street from the Heritage Park’s water fountain. As early as this fall, it will also have the Foley Pedestrian Bridge on its other side.
The Council agreed to coordinate with the Association to find the ideal timeline and other specifications for the move.
They also voted to give the Association an additional $2,000 per month for five months. This came in response to request for funding as Foley PAA seeks to reorganize.
PAA hosts the annual Art in the Park and Trim a Tree events.
