ROBERTSDALE, Ala. — It was a short and sweet council meeting Tuesday morning as the City of Robertsdale had no new or old business to discuss and no ordinances or resolutions to pass.
The only business the council had was two presentations for billboard requests which were passed by all members of the council.
Central Baldwin Baseball made the first presentation announcing registration for the 2011 baseball season on February 5, 12 and 19 for coed ages 4-13 . Registration will take place at Robertsdale City Hall.
Robertsdale High School Golden Bear Booster Club requested use of the billboard for their 17th annual Draw Down on Saturday, February 19 at Waters’ Outback Barn in Robertsdale .
Festivities run from 6-9 p.m. and a prize of $5,000 will be drawn at the end of the evening. Tickets are $100 for four people and money raised from the event will go toward supporting all athletic programs at RHS.
There will also be a raffle for door prizes as well and because of the success of last year’s event, $10,000 was raised and contributed to the various athletic programs at RHS.
