LOXLEY - The City Rhythm Big Band will begin monthly performances Dec. 11 at the Loxley Civic Center, 4198 Municipal Park Drive, west of Alabama 59 in Loxley.

All dances are from 7 to 10 p.m.; tickets are $10 per person. Bring your own beverages and snacks. Water, cups and ice will be provided.

The band features new songs along with traditional big band favorites and includes all dance styles. The 18-piece big band is comprised of professional musicians. Vocalists Kathy Murchison and Ken Thacker also perform frequently during the evening. Additional dances are scheduled for Jan. 29, Feb. 12, March 26, April 23 and May 14.
