Clarence James Allen, 94, a native of Shirley, Ark. and resident of Foley, passed away Friday, Aug. 29, 2014.
He is survived by his wife of 76 years, Katherine Haile Allen of Foley; daughter, Faydene Allen Reed of Foley; grandchildren, Cindy Kay Reed Pierce (Stan) of Glen Allen, Va., Ronald Brian Reed (Cindy) of Trussville and Marc Daniel Reed of Foley; great grandchildren, John Pierce of Richmond, Va., Scott Pierce (Ellie) of Arlington, Va., Amanda Pierce of Glen Allen, Va., Jessica Pierce of Glen Allen, Va.; Clay Reed of Trussville and Cody Reed of Foley; step-great-granddaughter, Paula Barnes of Foley; brother, Loyd Allen of Dyess, Ark.; sisters, Helen Allen Gary of Dyess, Ark. and Sylvia Allen Franks (Bobby) of Dyess, Ark.; numerous nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Foley on Monday, Sept. 1, 2014, at 10 a.m.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the service time.
Interment will follow in Pine Rest Memorial Park in Foley.
