Cleo Dean Gwaltney, 91, a native of Monroe County, a former resident of Silverhill and a resident of Fairhope, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015.
Mrs. Gwaltney was a member of Robertsdale United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her family, cooking, reading, church and social work.
She is preceded in death by husbands, Claude E. Dean Sr. and John Lee Gwaltney.
She is survived by three daughters, Betty L. (Micheal) Lyrene of Fairhope, Effie Manley of McDonough, Ga. and Faye (Mark) Branch of Silverhill; two sons, Claude E. Dean Jr. of Silverhill and Jack A. (Rosemary) Dean of Ocala, Fla.; brother, Calvin Coolidge Turberville of Atmore; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at 10 a.m., at Lottie United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Steve Spining officiating.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, from 6-8 p.m., at Mack Funeral Home.
