Dr. Kendrick P. Cochran, 47, of Auburn was born in Montgomery to Len and Monette Cochran.
Although he lived in many places throughout the world, his formative years were spent in Elberta. There he met his high school sweetheart, Anna, whom he married Dec. 17, 1979.
He was a gradaute of the University of Montevallo and the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. he is known for his great passion and contribution to dental public health in the United States and overseas.
He had a zeal for traveling, an interest of all things nautical, enthusiasm for motor sports, collecting vintage items and a love for family.
His jovial and generous nature will be greatly missed. the family would like to thank the staff of EAMC emergency room and cardic catheterization lab for their tireless efforts and professional care.
Survivors include his wife, Anna; three children, Emily (Justin) Enoch, Leston Cochran and Len Cochran; his parents, Len and Monette Cochran; three siblings, Tom Cochran, John Cochran and Mona Silvey; and a large extended family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, May 12 at the Auburn University Arboretum. An island-style pot-luck fiesta will be held in his honor following the celebration.
His ashes will be spread at sea according to his wishes at a later date.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Auburn Opelika Chapter 211 of the mended Hearts Inc.
