Katie Eileen Colbert and Matthew Marmaduke Coate were united in marriage May 17, 2008 at Bluff Park United Methodist Church of Birmingham. The Reverend David Warren of First United Methodist Church of Panama City, Fla., officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Timothy Lee Colbert of Birmingham and the granddaughter of Virginia Blankenship Noland of Montgomery, and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Colbert of Oviedo, Fla.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Livingston Marmaduke Coate of Spanish Fort and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herndon Tartt Coate and Mr. and Mrs. Adna Crear Anderson Jr. of Jackson.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Bridesmaids were Dr. Robin Colbert Gwaltney of La Place, La., Holly Colbert Stefaniak, Lee Ann Colbert, Angela Colbert, all of Birmingham, sisters of the bride, and Carrie Coate Owens, sister of the bridcegroom.
Livingston Marmaduke Coate, father of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Scott Pritchard of Jackson, Matthew Daugherty, Allen Jones, John Napper, Christopher Smith, Brandon Stewart and William Woodson, all of Daphne.
Flowergirl was Anna Caitlin Stefaniak, niece of the bride, of Birmingham. The ringbearer was Timothy Graham Stefaniak, nephew of the bride, of Birmingham.
Music was provided by Thomas Saxon, with vocalists Amber and David DeVane and readers Kathleen Haden and David Stefaniak.
A reception at Magnolia Springs Manor in Helena followed the ceremony.
After a wedding trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple reside in Nashville, Tenn.
