Totsch graduates from ASMS

Baldwin County resident Timothy “Ross” Totsch graduated with an advanced diploma and distinction with a concentration in biology from the Alabama School of Mathematics and Science in Mobile on May 30.

Totsch was an active member of the ASMS Jazz Band,  former member of the Concert Band, an active member of the Key Club, and during the summer of last year did volunteer work for Habitat for Humanity.

He was offered scholastic scholarships from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, University of Alabama, Springhill College and University of South Alabama.

Totsch has chosen to attend the University of Alabama at Birmingham in the fall where he will be majoring in biology and will pursue a career path in medicine.

He is the son of Jeffrey and Colleen Totsch. He is the grandson of  Virginia Totsch of Foley and Lois Carver of Josephine.

Miller earns degree from Hampden—Sydney College

James Crawford Miller was among the 216 men who graduated on May 10 at commencement exercises marking the end of the 234th academic year at Hampden-Sydney College.

Miller graduated with a B.A. in philosophy. He is a graduate of Bayside Academy and is the son of Greg and Susan Miller of Gulf Shores.

Missouri State University extends degree to Cochran

Missouri State University conferred 2,295 degrees to students this spring during commencement ceremonies May 15 at JQH Arena.

A total of 1,757 baccalaureate degrees, 495 master’s degrees, 13 specialist degrees and 30 doctorate degrees were conferred.

Among those students who graduated were Walt E. Cochran of Gulf Shores who received a master of science.

Samford hands out 800 degrees

Samford University graduated 800 seniors from 29 states and nine foreign nations during May commencement programs.
