Donald I. Collins, 67, a native of MonLouis Island and a resident of Fairhope, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009.
He was a ship boat captain of the “Classy Lady” shrimp boat and was a truck driver for Riverview Turf Farm.
He was preceded in death by a son, Joshua L. Lay.
Survivors include three daughters, Jerry Johnston of Fairhope, Jamie Williams of Fairhope and Angela Robinson, Air Force Base, South Korea; sister, JoAnn Bolton of San Antonio, Texas; two brothers, Edgar Collins of Spring Valley, N.Y., and Winston Collins of Rock Port, Texas; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
