FAIRHOPE, Ala. — The city of Fairhope invites residents and visitors to mark the last night of the year tomorrow at their annual New Year’s Eve Celebration in downtown Fairhope.
Bundle up and bring the whole family for an evening of fun; there will be something for everyone, including karaoke, face painting, strolling clowns giving out balloon animals, free party favors, a lighted ball drop at midnight followed by fireworks.
Ring in the New Year dancing to the variety band, Hip Kitty out of Nashville Tenn. The band will begin playing at 8:30 p.m. at the corner of Section and Church streets.

Many downtown restaurants will be open for those who wish to eat in downtown and then just hang out until midnight.
To prepare for the event, Fairhope Avenue between Section and Church streets will be closed at 1:30 p.m. Church Street between Delamare Avenue and Fairhope Avenue will also close at 1:30. Church Street from the corner of Fairhope Avenue to Magnolia Avenue will close at 1:30 p.m. Entry to public parking on Church Street will remain open.
