BAY MINETTE, Ala. — The Baldwin County Commission has designated Jan. 12 as “Franklin Primary Health Center Day” to commemorate the opening of the private, non-profit community health center in Foley.
The centers provide comprehensive primary health care services to residents of Baldwin, Mobile and Choctaw counties.
The center began in 1975 and now has nearly 20 sites staffed by volunteers to provide quality medical services to low-income families.
Services include pediatrics, family medicine, internal medicine, rheumatology, optometry, dental, obstetrics and gynecology, X-ray, laboratory, physical therapy, substance abuse, infectious disease and health care for the homeless.
