DAPHNE, Ala. — Pathways to Leadership, an all-day student-faculty-administror conference, was presented Aug. 20. The conference was hosted by Daphne High School and principal Don Blanchard.

This year’s attendees were sponsored by Balfour and Lee McDaniel, which provided participants free attendance, Pathways to Leadership guidebooks and a seminar lunch.

Mike Wood, the former president and chief operating officer of the Vital Learning Corporation — previously the training systems division of McGraw Hill — presented a fast-paced, content-filled day to students and adults.

The first session focused on personal leadership skills to work in new ways in each represented high school.

DHS and Pathways to Leadership would appreciate feedback from attending schools with regard to positive changes they see in the leadership role of attending students.
