FAIRHOPE, ALA. — The Fairhope City Council voted unanimously Monday evening to offer Bill Press, a 35-year veteran of the Miami-Dade Police Department the police chief job starting July 1 at a $95,000 annual salary.

This morning, he accepted.

“He will be on the job next week,” said Council President Debbie Quinn.
