ROBERTSDALE, Ala. — With one order of business on the agenda, the Sept. 21 meeting of the Robertsdale city council was quick.

The council rejected a proposal that the city place an ad in an area publication for Heritage Harbor Days.

Other than that, there was no other business for the council. All members were present for the meeting..

Mayor Charles Murphy reminded the audience that Oct. 3 would see the “Honeybee Festival” at Honeybee Park (right along Highway 59) in Robertsdale. The fun begins in the morning with a parade of fire trucks, and will feature craft and other booths, a live and silent auction and live entertainment.

The festival is a fundraiser for the Robertsdale Volunteer Fire Department.

Murphy also announced that council members Aubrey Grant and Paul Hollingsworth were inducted into the Robertsdale High Athletic “Hall of Fame” recently.

The council also approved payment of $879,807.93 in city bills.
