County spring cleanup campaign set in April

BAY MINETTE – As part of the statewide “Don’t Drop It on Alabama” spring cleanup campaign, Baldwin County will be providing cleanup materials during April.

The campaign takes place each year in April. All supportive cleanup materials are provided at no cost to participants and include large trash bags, recycle bags, participation forms and other materials necessary for the cleanup effort.

Each year the effort saves Alabama taxpayers millions of dollars through cleanup efforts of thousands of volunteers who participate in this event. Participation is encouraged by individuals and groups.

The event starts April 1 and lasts through the month. Supplies can be picked up beginning Wednesday, March 24 unless otherwise arranged with Baldwin County Solid Waste.

Locations include the Magnolia Landfill, 15140 Baldwin County 49, Summerdale; MacBride Landfill 14200 Baldwi County 64, Loxley; Bay Minette Transfer Station 43205 Nicholsville Road, Bay Minette; Eastfork Landfill 17917 CC Road Elberta and Baldwin County Central Annex Rear parking lot drive-up window 22251 Palmer St. Robertsdale

Trash can only be collected in the bags provided unless otherwise approved by the Baldwin County Solid Waste director. Trash will be weighed and reported to Alabama PALS to track the event’s success. Forms specifying the general location where trash was collected should be turned in with the trash to the locations listed above.
