DAPHNE, Ala. - Covenant Hospice is seeking individuals who are interested in providing administrative, development or outreach support for the organization. A volunteer orientation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Monday, May 21 at the Daphne Covenant Hospice branch office, located at 1040 Stanton Road. The orientation class is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided. Covenant Hospice Volunteer Orientation will provide an overview of hospice care, including Covenant’s programs and services and volunteer opportunities. The orientation prepares individuals to volunteer in a variety of ways which include assisting with fundraising events, providing administrative support in a Covenant office, serving as an outreach ambassador and much more. No special background or experience is required to volunteer for Covenant, just a desire to make a difference. Time commitment is flexible and based on volunteer availability. Retired and working professionals are also needed to share their expertise and experience. To register or to learn more, call C.J. Weinstein at 338-7630. Covenant Hospice is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate services to patients and loved ones during times of life-limiting illnesses. Covenant Hospice is an agency of United Way of Baldwin County.
