Cathleen Phillips Cox and John Robert Zeanah were united in marriage July 14, 2007, at the Colonial Park United Methodist Church in Memphis, Tenn. The Rev. Dr. Joe E. Piercey officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Phyllis and Phillip Cox of Memphis. The bridegroom is the son of Fran McCurry of Gulf Shores, and Bob Zeanah of Magnolia Springs.

She received a bachelor of arts degree from Lambuth University in Jackson, Tenn., and a master of arts degree from The University of Memphis. She teaches English literature at St. Benedict at Auburndale High School in Cordova, Tenn.

The bridegroom received a bachelor arts degree from Rhodes College, Memphis and an MCRP degree from The University of Memphis. He is a city planner, employed by Memphis City Schools.

Kandice Miller of Memphis, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Andrea Cox, sister-in-law of the bride, of Memphis; Maggie Donley of Winston-Salem, N.C.; Amanda Freeman of Philadelphia, and Arielle Moinester of Davis, California.

Sam Zeanah of Magnolia Springs, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Preston Cox, brother of the bride, of Memphis; John Novotny of Denver; Chris Whetstone of Queens, N.Y., and Ted Stonbely of New York.

A reception followed the ceremony at The Pink Palace Mansion in Memphis.

Following a wedding trip to Rome and the Amalfi Coast, Italy, the couple resides in Memphis.
