ROBERTSDALE, Alabama — The Baldwin County Coliseum in Robertsdale was packed Wednesday for the 2012 Baldwin County Senior Lifestyle Expo.
More than 60 vendors handed out information, held free giveaways and held prize drawings at the inaugural event, presented by the Area Agency on Aging and the South Alabama Regional Planning Commission.
The event was expected to draw more than 800 people on Wednesday and also featured a health fair, information on senior identity theft and DJS playing music with a target group of 50 and older.
The health fair offered blood screening, blood pressure check and various other preventive testing. The Sheriff’s Office provided staff to discuss senior issues related to safety and financial scams.
“I think we had a really good turnout,” said event coordinator Suzette Gwin.
South Baldwin Regional Medical Center was the Gold Sponsor for the event. Silver Sponsor was Baldwin EMC and Purple Sponsor was Oxford HealthCare.
