DollyMae Ivey Curtis, 89, born in Ashville, a longtime resident of Fairhope and a resident of Daphne, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008.
She and her mother owned an alteration shop in their home where many Fairhope residents patronized and where they sewed the Azalea Trail Maid Dresses for many years.
She was a member of First Christian Church of Belforest.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Irwin A. Curtis; brothers, Amos Stroud and Frank East; and her parents, John R. and Exie Ivey.
Survivors include two daughters, Beth Lazzari of St. Stephens and Laura McMeans of Daphne; two sons, John Rolland Curtis of Fairhope and Joseph A. Curtis of Belforest; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope.
Graveside services and interments will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1 at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
