Custom pedal-powered airplane crossing Atlantic Ocean

ROBERTSDALE, Alabama — The Robertsdale Aircraft Factory, a division of the Robertsdale Yacht Club, is proud to announce the imminent delivery of its first custom-built aircraft.

Future Royal Air Force Capt. Quinlan Taggart, age 3, of England contracted the Robertsdale Aircraft Factory to produce a one-of-a-kind sport aircraft for his personal use to travel about England and Europe.

The Robertsdale Aircraft Factory was eager to accept this contract as a method to demonstrate our capabilities as a premier custom aircraft manufacturer.

The Air Ripper 1 (AR1) was constructed to Capt. Taggart’s exacting specifications. The AR1 uses proprietary materials developed by the Robertsdale Research and Development Division.

Robertsdale Aircraft Factory co-founder Dana Hall only said the material is naturally forming cellulose composite. Robertsdale Yacht Club co-founder Ted Riccio said the secret material is good enough to build an engine.

The construction and flight testing consumed numerous man-days of work by the Robertsdale Aircraft Factory staff, dozens of dollars, and a custom engine provided by famed Gulf Shores engine builder, Ted Riccio.

The culmination of this effort produced a high performance, single- seat aircraft second to none.

Shipment of Capt. Taggart’s aircraft will be timed to coincide with Christmas. We wish him well in all his travels.

The delivery will be the first crossing of the Atlantic Ocean by a pedal-powered airplane. Logistics for the Transatlantic flight will be provided by UPS.

We would also like to announce a new contract to build the Air Ripper 2 (AR2) for a future millionaire, Raymond Reshwan, age 2, from Magnolia Springs.

The AR2 is similar to the AR1 with modifications requested by the new client to match his rambunctious personality.

The Robertsdale Yacht Club was originally formed by Dana E. Hall and Ted Riccio to establish an organization for yachting enthusiasts. It has become famous for being the only landlocked yacht club in lower Baldwin County.

The club has proven very popular with boaters who suffer from hydrophobia.

Due to demand for its services, the Robertsdale Yacht Club has created additional divisions beyond the Robertsdale Aircraft Factory to include Robertsdale Marine Salvage, Robertsdale Marine Repair, Robertsdale Trailer Repair and Modification, Robertsdale Solar, Robertsdale Kitchen Utensil Repair, Robertsdale Research and Development, Robertsdale Custom Fabrication and Robertsdale Charcoal Cooker Repair.
