Dale Edward Wilson, age 76, native of Beaumont, Texas and resident of the Styx River Community of Baldwin County, died on July 23, 2012 at home.
He grew up in Texas where he enjoyed boating and water skiing with family and friends on the waters of Taylor’s Bayou. Upon graduation he joined the Aviation Cadets Program. He spent 22 years in the Air Force as a pilot and communications/electronics officer. He retired from Davis Monthan AFB in Tucson, Ariz., in 1976 and came to Baldwin County, to settle on the Styx River where he spent the next 36 years. He is survived by wife Sandy of Styx River; two sons Josh of Foley and Scott of Houston, Texas; daughter, Melissa of Phoenix, Ariz., sister Judy Meeker of Huntsville, Texas; brothers, Joe Wilson of La Porte, Texas and Jim Wilson of Lake Jackson, Texas. He has seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Memorial services are to be held at a later date.
