FOLEY, Ala. — Sherian’s Dance Co., of Sherian’s School of Dance in Foley, competed in the Kids’ Artistic Review 2009 Regional Competition held in Mobile recently.

Bringing together dance teams from across the Southeast U.S., KAR is widely considered one of the elite dance competitions in the country.

Our local dancers shone on the stage, receiving the Top First-Place Award (Small Group Tap) for their performance of “This Cat’s on a Hot Tin Roof.”

They also received a Special Judges’ Award and an invitation to perform the dance at the KAR All-Star Convention in New York City in July.

Sherian’s Dance Co. has performed locally at special events, schools and nursing homes.
