Daniel M. “D.A” Ard, age 60, a lifelong resident of Baldwin County, living in Loxley, passed away Sunday Oct. 7, 2012, at a local hospital.
He was a man who loved hunting and fishing and was such an avid gardener, that he could grow just about anything. He worked as a carpenter. “D.A.” is preceded in death by his sister, Winnie Faye Ard. Surviving are his parents, Clarence O. and LaVonne Ard of Daphne; longtime companion, Kathy McGraw of Loxley; two brothers, Calvin Ard of Mobile and Charles (Deon) Ard of Fairhope; two sisters, Kathy (Keith) Kingan of Mobile and Barbara (Sidney) Foster of Daphne; friend, Raymond McGraw, Pensacola; and many other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and longtime close friends. A memorial visitation will be held at 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012 at Hughes Funeral Home. Notes of condolence may be made at hughesfh.com.
