Daniel Walton Gibson, 68, a native of Troy and resident of Daphne, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014.
Dan graduated from Charles Henderson High School in Troy, attended Troy University and graduated from Auburn with a degree in building construction.
He spent most of his career with W.G. Yates Construction, managing many multi-million dollar projects on the Gulf Coast and retired in 2010.
He was a longtime member of Eastern Shore Baptist Church and the Christian Business Men’s Connection. He became a member of the Gideons International in recent years.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Gibson of Daphne; a son, Walton Colby Gibson of Huntsville; and a sister, Diane Head of Birmingham.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 12, 2014, at 11 a.m., at Eastern Shore Baptist Church in Daphne. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.
Interment will follow in Jubilee Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastern Shore Baptist Church missions or the Gideons International.
