Danny Durant, age 66, born in Bay Minette and a resident of the White House Fork Community of Bay Minette died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012 at his residence.

He was a retired supervisor at Klumb Lumber Company. He served in the National Guard. He is survived by one son, Danny Joseph Durant of White House Fork; three daughters, Karin Denise (Randy) Ralston of Bay Minette, Tracey Lynn (Claude) Russell of Hazard, Ky., and Alicia Marie (Brian) McMann of Grand Bay; two sisters, Oleta Langham of White House Fork and Mildred Andersen of Bay Minette; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one step-daughter, Yolanda Akins of White House Fork and one stepson, Jason Lane of Chunchula. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Dean Durant; his parents, Jonathan and Erma Durant; grandson, Marcus Anthony Terrell, his brother, Lambert Durant and a sister, Audrey Vines. The funeral service will be held Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the White House Fork Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at White Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Claude Russell, David Russell, Joseph Anderson, Anthony Owens, Gary Akins and James Glover. Funeral arrangements are by Norris Funeral Home, Bay Minette.
