DAPHNE, Ala.—The Daphne City Council has a full agenda for the final meeting in July, with the council set to vote on the new land use and development ordinance, which officials have been working on for more than a year.
The land use ordinance was unanimously recommended to the council by the planning commission, and includes changes to the city’s zoning districts and classifications.
The council is also set to discuss awarding bids for park chemicals, garbage carts, public works uniforms, police vehicle equipment and material for the burn building training center; and an agreement with Ecumenical Ministries.
There will be first reads of ordinances for the appropriation of funds for a floor scrubber, the final payment for the stadium at Daphne High School and a one-time lump-sum pay adjustment.
Votes are not expected on the first reads, unless members of the council choose to waive the reading and make their decision.
The meeting will take place July 18 at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall.
