The children in Viki McGinty’s kindergarten class at Daphne Elementary cook their Thanksgiving feast every year and enjoy measuring, stirring, pouring and then eating their feast! This is Mrs. McGinty’s last feast, since she will be retiring Dec. 1, so the new teacher, Mrs. Katie Scharwath, came to help out and learn the children and classroom routines. In top photo, the cornbread team members are, left to right, Mrs. Katie Scharwath, Mary Madisyn Richardson and Stephany Romero; back row, Abby Barry-Green, Jacob Weir, parent helper Kristi Weir and Kendrick Johnson. Pumpkin bread team members, bottom photo, Omaraje Harris and  Amelia Luna concentrate on cracking the egg while Nicholas Cox watches.
