Daphne, Ala. – Daphne's newest full service hair and nail salon, Blown Away, marked its grand opening on October 26. The shop formerly known as Hot Rays Tanning & Hair has moved to a new location at 6460 Van Buren Street, just east of U.S. 98.
Taking the Hair Care World by Storm
Six-year shop owner Charity Dinsmore said, "We've dropped our tanning line at the new shop; hair care is our specialty. We liked the active, tropical feel of the new name (Blown Away), so we made the move complete with our new branding. Our loyal customers and new arrivals all seem to like the new name."
The shop specializes in precision cuts and styling for women and men, along with professional color, perm, manicures and pedicures.
Dinsmore is joined at Blown Away by her 3-year associate Wynona McCall, who said of the new shop's friendly, inviting multi-room layout, "We love it. We think our clients will too."
In addition to her well known styling skills, McCall became a worldwide celebrity following her and husband Chuck's appearance as finalists on last season's edition of network television's 'Amazing Race'.
The third member of the Blown Away team is veteran hair designer Melissa Adams. Melissa's first anniversary with the shop happens to coincide with the new salon's grand opening.
