DAPHNE, Ala. — The Daphne Lady Trojans dominated all phases of the game Friday to take a 75-25 senior-night, area win over visiting Foley Friday. The Daphne girls improved to 4-1 in 6A Area 3 while the Lady Lions dropped to 1-5.

The Lady Trojans, 13-6 overall, will settle the regular-season area race with Fairhope (5-0) Tuesday. A Lady Pirate win will give Fairhope the right to host the 6A Area 3 tournament, while a Daphne win will force a coin flip to decide the tournament hosting site between the 5-1 area record holders. The 6A Area 3 girls tournament is set to begin Feb. 10 with finals set for Feb. 12.

Sierra Patterson scored 18 points, Amber Yelding had 17, Samira Dale 14, Cherilyn Ramsey 10, Cherese Hunter five, Meredith Gwin four, Tierra Green three, Kirsten Henton and Taylor Wright two each for Daphne. DHS went 8-of-14 at the free-throw line.

Brittney Davis scored 11 points to lead the Lady Lions, Leigh Ashton Watson added six, Kimberly Parks four, Ashley Brokenshaw and Emily Costa each had two. Foley was 4-for-15 at the line.
