DAPHNE, Ala. — Daphne High School is looking for volunteers from the community to come share their personal stories of overcoming their pasts and turning defeat and doubt into stories of success.
Teen Tough is one of the school’s “Parthenon Time” seminars. The seminar uses members of the Daphne community to teach DHS teens that is never to late to change your past and work to overcome obstacles. The goal is to teach kids despite what may have happened in the past they can now take steps to insure a bright future.
The speakers and teacher will teach techniques that teens may use to turn their “If only I had Known” and I Wish I Hadn’t” into, “Yes, I can have a bright future”.
If you would like to volunteer to tell your story, contact Karon Bishop at Daphne High School. She may be reached via e-mail at kbishop@bcbe.org or by calling DHS at 251-626-8787.
