DAPHNE — The Daphne Public Library Teen Summer Reading Program provides area teens an opportunity to read and participate in a variety of special events geared to their specific age group.
On June 13, teens are invited to attend a cooking workshop. Teens will take part in preparing a cultural dish. This free event will be held at the Daphne Community Room from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. All teens — sixth- through 12th-graders — are invited to attend.
Additionally, you can beat the heat and plan to attend the library’s teen movie series beginning on June 14 starting at 1 p.m. in the library community room. Additional teen movies will be shown on June 20 and 27. Snacks will be provided.
Reading logs will be available for teen readers who wish to log their reading activities during June. The top three teen readers will be honored at an award ceremony on July 5.
The Daphne Public Library 2011 Teen Summer Reading Program is sponsored by the Friends of the Daphne Library.
