DAPHNE, Ala.—Herbert “Pop” Crum, 55, was arrested after residents called the police department to report seeing someone in a house in the Daphmont area, according to a press release.

When officers arrived at the home to apprehend Crum he was found behind the house; upon seeing the police, Crum fled into a nearby wooded area, police said. Crum was later found and arrested for resisting arrest, a misdemeanor charge.

Crum spent the night in the Daphne jail and will be interviewed on Monday.

Crum already had an active warrant on a felony charge for third-degree burglary. The burglary charge is from a case in Daphne.
