BAY MINETTE, Ala.—At approximately 12:10 a.m. Saturday, Alabama State Troopers responded to investigate a single-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a Daphne man. The crash occurred on Hurricane Road, approximately 2 miles west of Bay Minette.

Michael J Ederer, 41, of Daphne was killed when the 2001 Chrysler minivan he was driving, left the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned.

Ederer was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene. State Troopers continue to investigate.
