Daphne Marine Corps detachment announces officer selection

DAPHNE, Ala. —Dr. Thomas P. Rosandich, president of the United States Sports Academy; Ed Simms Jr., vice commandant; Jay Courtney Sr., vice commandant; Jerry Cherne, commandant; Jonathan McConnell, judge advocate; and Cal Walters, commandant of the Department of Alabama Marine Corps League, met on the campus of the academy in Daphne on April 5 for the final organizational meeting of the Marine Corps League’s Daphne detachment.

Cherne, Courtney, Simms and McConnell were elected to serve as officers, as designated above, for the Daphne detachment.
