A pair of recent purse thefts from local Daphne shopping centers have been attributed in part to a 23-year-old Baldwin County man named Brandon Ray Powell.
Powell is wanted for one count of second degree robbery, one count of third degree theft of property and two counts of fraudulent use of a credit card.
The events occurred at the Daphne Walmart and Lowes Home Center parking lots respectively. Both crimes involved purses being taken from female shoppers and their credit cards being used minutes after the initial crimes.
Authorities in Saraland will also have multiple cases involving the same suspect. A white male accomplice is believed to have accompanied Powell during these crimes.
Daphne Police are asking for help in locating Powell for arrest. Questions should be directed to Cpl. Jason Vannoy at 621-2839.
The Daphne PD said Powell was identified in part through the help of Facebook users.
