DAPHNE, Ala.—The Daphne Planning Commission has called a special meeting for 8:30 a.m. to noon July 14 in the city council chambers at City Hall.
The planning commission will discuss the future land-use map for the proposed annexation of rights of way along Alabama Highway 181 and proposed amendments to the city’s interstate sign provisions.
The planning commission has been considering proposing changes to the city’s interstate sign ordinance for months since the developers for Academy Sports and Outdoors requested a variance to the existing ordinance.
Members of the council were also invited to the meeting Thursday so the council could be included in the discussion before the planning commission makes a recommendation.
