DAPHNE, Ala.— Daphne police recovered 13 purses and six wallets while serving a search warrant for Elizabeth Pegram, 19, at her home in Lake Forest. The materials recovered are believed stolen.
Pegram was arrested on June 22 and is the suspect in several car break-ins, which occurred in Lake Forest, police said.
Police have returned two purses to the owners, and are trying to identify the owners of the other property. Lt. Jud Beedy with the Daphne Police Department said police found identification in some of the purses that did not belong to Pegram, which they are using to identify owners.
The property police recovered included Coach purses, a Coach wallet, an XOXO purse, a Dooney and Bourke wallet and other brands. Beedy said most of the stolen items are believed to have been stolen from Lake Forest.
Anyone who lives in the Lake Forest area and was the victim of a recent break-in, but did not report it to police or file a police report, should contact the Daphne police at 251-621-9100 to assist police in returning the property to owners.
