DAPHNE, Ala. — The Daphne Public Library set the following activities.

*Children can attend a Trick or Treat @ Your Library event on Oct. 29 from 3 until 5 p.m.  The event will include games, candy, prizes and costumes.

*Patrons may now use the covered drive-up book drop at the Main Street exit of the library.

The drive is designed as a one-way, clockwise drive so that the book drop is on the driver’s side of the vehicle.  Donations may also be dropped off at this location; however, there is no entrance to the main library from these doors.  A new enclosed bulletin board has been installed under the covered drive to help patrons stay informed about library and book-shop hours, as well as upcoming events.

*Computer classes will begin shortly, with offerings such as Taming the Mouse, Beginners One and Beginners Two, E-mail, Internet, Advanced Microsoft Word Shortcuts, Microsoft Publisher, Basic Excel, AVL and Using the Library Website.

The number of classes will vary for each course.  Sign-up sheets will be available at the library.  There must be a minimum interest of six students for a class to be presented, and there will be a maximum of 15 students per class.

Four alternates may sign up for each class and if others cannot attend, alternates will be contacted. All courses will be offered at various times in the future so everyone will have a chance to participate.
