SPANISH FORT, Ala.—The Daphne-Spanish Fort Kiwanis Club has slated its second annual "O’Charley’s Pancake Breakfast Buffet" for Aug. 6.

Tickets for the event are $5 each and can be purchased at the O’Charley’s in Daphne the day of the event, by contacting any Kiwanis member or by calling the group’s president, Carolyn Parham at 251-621-2996.

"The proceeds help organizations that support young people and benefit three Key Clubs by promoting leadership and community service, as well as providing scholarships for graduating seniors," Parham said.

The fundraiser will last from 7:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. and will include child-friendly entertainment and a grand-prize drawing for ticket holders.

The service club funds Key Club activities at Spanish Fort and Daphne high schools as well as Bayside Academy and also provides one scholarship each year to a graduating senior from each school.

In addition, Parham said the group also supports the educational foundations supporting both Daphne and Spanish Fort schools, the Alabama Sheriff’s Boys Ranch, Young Life, Jubilee Headstart, Ruff Wilson Youth Club and the Dogwood Trail Maids, among others.
