DAPHNE, Ala.—The Daphne-Spanish Fort Rotary Club is seeking sponsors for its 9th annual Benefit Golf Tournament, which tees off May 19 at the TimberCreek Golf Course.
Many different types of sponsorship are available for the event, Cleve Gantt, event coordinator, said. Businesses can sponsor the event, host a golf team, donate door prizes or sponsor a hole.
Gantt said sponsors are still needed for the event.
“We don’t have enough. We have 15 teams signed up and 32 tee signs. We don’t quite have enough but we have another two-and-a-half weeks to bridge the gap,” Gantt said.
To become a sponsor, Gantt said the cost to sponsor a hole is $500, sponsoring a tee sign is $100 and sponsoring a team of four is $500.
Anyone interested in becoming a sponsor can do so by contacting Gantt before May 13.
The benefit golf tournament raises funds to support the Rotary Club’s efforts in the community including donations to local education enrichment organizations SEEDS and SFEEF, United Way, Dictionaries for Students and the Ruff Wilson Youth Organization in Daphne.
“The biggest thing we do is a Christmas party for 100 needy children from local elementary schools so they can have a meaningful charismas experience they might not otherwise be able to have,” Gantt said.
The Rotary Club typically raises $12,000 from the benefit golf tournament.
“Our club has been thrilled by the support we have received from the local community for this event,” Gantt said in a press release.
