Not only did the Daphne Trojans win the 6A Region 2 championship with a win over rival Fairhope last week, they also secured their hold on the No. 2 spot in the Alabama Sports Writers Association football poll this week.

The Trojans held the No. 2 spot behind top-ranked perennial powerhouse Hoover for the second straight week. Hoover has been ranked No. 1 for seven straight weeks.
