Daphne volleyball welcomes Herrion back to Alma Mater

DAPHNE – Edoli Herrion's glory days as a player at Daphne High may have passed by, but those as a coach there are ready to begin.

With the ink on her Masters degree still drying, the former DHS and University of West Alabama volleyball standout is stepping in to replace Kay S. Flarity as the Lady Trojans' head coach.

"I'm super excited," Herrion said. "I have great parents, have great kids, great JV coach. Coach Kay left a great foundation to step on to."

Herrion plans to bring her own style to the court.

"I think of myself as a players' coach. I take care of my girls. I want to be positive and be there for them. I don't give up on them and - if they don't give up on me - we'll get over the hump together and we're going to get there, no matter what it is, together."
